N4 Module - Organise local events

At our Region Conference in 2003, Patrols were asked to choose a module from the Australian Adult Leadership Program and prepare a presentation on some aspects of the module. Here is the Patrol presentation on the day of specific clauses of module N4 Organise local events. The instructions given to the Patrol are here.

Plan an event

Thinking Day	22nd February 200? (a Sunday)
Location	TBA
Theme	Olympics
Who	All Guides 5+ and families??
Cost	Donation to Thinking Day fund (Olympic Torch-type collection?)
Time	10:00 am to 2:00 pm
Uniform	Informal uniform + hat
Food	BYO morning tea/afternoon tea/drinks/snacks
Activities	Round Robin SYstem (with Passport) Knotting Compass Pole pillow fights Semaphore Tennis Craft Cricket Face Painting Lunch Each station to be organised and run by a District
Presentation	Presentation of Junior BP Award Certificates
Prizes	For each District's home gate
Event bage	Screen printed
Medals	For 1st, 2nd and 3rd at each station
Lunch	Provided by Trefoil Guild (minimum cost)
Podium	For Presentation and awards - borrow from Gang Show

To Do List

Notes for each District
Preparation meetings - one leader from each District, to be held October, November and early February
Meet with the Trefoil Guild to discuss lunch arrangements
Decide on location of the event
Ask Senior Guide Units to run activities, e.g. screen printing/face painting/craft
Nominate a District to arrange the Junior BP presentation ceremony
Each District to bring their own First Aid kit
